#PorUnDesarrolloSostenible para Cuba

La empresa Geocuba Oriente Norte termina proyecto del segundo y tercer ciclo de mediciones del polígono geodinámico de Moa, financiado por el Presupuesto del Estado asignado a la actividad de investigación geológica.

Fueron medidos puntos altimétricos y planimétricos con equipamiento de última generación de mediciones geodésicas, los cuales están rehabilitados desde el 2017.

La línea altimétrica tiene 62 puntos en 56,03 km y el polígono planimétrico cuenta con 20 puntos y 68 lados o cuerdas. Este estudio permite conocer los movimientos verticales y horizontales milimétricos que ocurren en el territorio debido a los desplazamientos de las fallas geológicas activas, lo cual es muy importante para identificar las zonas de ocurrencia de sismos y su impacto en la economía y la sociedad.
